OPEN STUDIOS
by Craig Neibaur on

Just did two days of chair massage across the street from our house at a two day open art studio event here in Richmond.  You hear so much bad news about Richmond in the Newspaper that it could really drag you down.  This was amazing!  Good hearted people with a lot of creativity and loads of support.  What a turnout!  I massaged my fingers off!  People take heart!  In this World there are people who are working in small groups for a better world.  I have seen them.  They exist.

ONLINE BOOKING IS A GO!
by Craig Neibaur on

Yes, I did it!  I make up for my lack of tech savy by being a very good massage therapist.  Thanks for your patience while I got my system up and running!  Today is day two and I'm feeling really good about my new business.  Thanks for your overwhelming support.

ALMOST LAUNCHED!
by Craig Neibaur on

Just a day before Thanks Giving and I'm almost launched in my own business.  Just sprucing up the office, and getting the ducks all in a row.  I'm very excited!

Here's a thought.  It occurs to me that when I work on a body that is not holding much tension it responds much like a sack of water.  When the person is lying down if you nudge a foot, you can see the movement travel right up out the top of the persons head.  On the other hand if you work on a tense body you can see where that ripple stops.  with tense people the body tends to be less dynamic and moves all at once or not at all (more like a block of wood).

Here's an acting exercise for you actors and especially you non-actors.  Try to move through your day carrying the idea and intention of water (whatever that means to you).  Don't let anyone know you are doing this.  You don't have to make waterfall sounds everytime you get up.  Just keep it in the back of your mind and clock the differences of how you move, drive, sit, etc...

That's it for now.  I'll see you all on December 1st!
Craig

Hi Everyone,

I thought of putting this page together because I learn so much each day from working on people and I think it's valuable to share.  These thoughts might seem random, but I hope they'll inspire discussion.
Today's thought is this:  leading up to the election about a week out almost everyone I saw was getting severe neck stuff to the point of not being able to move their heads to the right (always to the right).  Then, the day before the election, almost everyone I saw had low back pain.  Coincidence?  Could we possibly manifest collective symptoms?  Here's where the scientists would blow empirical holes in my very casual survey of about 25 people but it does bare bringing up.  We'll talk again soon,

Over and out for now,
Craig
