Solutions

Professionals find Jumpinsites to be a great affordable solution for creating a web presence they can maintain themselves. These sites offer a lot of features that would be very costly if created from scratch.

Dr. Louisa Williams has been my naturopath for years and one of my first JIS clients. Her old site looked boring and dated and didn't allow her the flexibility to update it regularly.

OLD SITE:

For her practice, in addition to designing a new logo, we wanted to create a clean, simple site that provided all the information her patients would need including:

  • Explicit directions on how to get to the office with an embedded Google Map

  • A blog that provides helpful tips

In the future, patients will be able to order their products online as well as request appointments by referencing the embedded Google Calendar.

When Dr. Williams published her book Radical Medicine, we wanted her website by the same name to reflect the black and red motif of the book jacket. The Aurora template gave us lots of flexibility to handle the complex information architecture of the site. We utilized:

  • page-specific navigation in the Radical Medicine section that highlight all aspects of the book

  • tabbed navigation on the page, http://radicalmedicine.com/holistic_physician_defined.html, allowing users to quickly browse and compare holistic physicians

  • accordion navigation to help users browse the E-book titles

  • E-junkie, creating a nice, integrated shopping experience on the product page which also provided Louisa a way to distribute her E-books.

This site uses many of the powerful features of Jumpinsites.

Jason Mixter is a experienced Rolfer who wanted a new website. He had a lot of background information on his site, but the old frames design really made it unappealing and inaccessible.

OLD SITE:

Using the 2-layered navigation of the Cocoa Template, we were able to organize the background articles Jason had written. This nice, clean site was a big improvement!

Anna has a lot of multimedia experience so when she needed to get a website up quickly, she was albe to pick up JIS's web-building tool immediately and did a very nice job of architecting her site information.

Because some of her work involves video, she was wise to embed a video of herself, right on the home page. This was easy to embed with an HTML snippet.

Small businesses need professional-looking web presence but can't always afford the high costs of a custom-made HTML site. Plus, they need the flexibility of being able to keep their websites up-to-date with out having to pay more fees to a webmaster. Jumpinsites provides a cost-effective solution to both of these needs.

Bayfront Place needed to update the look of their website to feature their new logo and to reflect the elegance of their offerings. The Meissa template, set with a background to match the logo, provided a great home page showcase for this photo. Cleaning up the information architecture made the site much easier for users to see all that they had to offer.

Ali has a unique business of teaching music to parties of babies and toddlers. Fortunately, JIS had the perfect template to match the fun of her work.

After some quick training, Ali was able to get her site up and running in an afternoon.

Her photos tell her story best. We incorporated the instant photo effect on her site to complement the party motif.

Jumpinsites' black Pasta design provided a rich, elegant backdrop which helped to visually pop his brand and line of accessories.

On the product pages we incorporated Flash viewers made with Sproutbuilder, to provide a smooth shopping experience.

Products can be easily ordered using the integrated E-junkie shopping cart.

The Flash photogallery on the home page was a quick and effective way to showcase the product line.

Jumpinsites is a particularly good solution for organizations that need an affordable solution that may require contributions by multiple people. They also tend to have content-rich sites that require a more complex information architecture. Jumpinsites provides just the expertise to meet their unique needs.

The Fort Worth ASTD chapter needed a new website that would help them to manage their membership and events. Their vast information was outgrowing their limited single-layer navigation and they needed a fresh look to their outdated site.

OLD SITE:

The Aurora template provided a very flexible solution for ASTD Fort Worth's needs.  Jumpinsites helped them to:

  • Completely reorganize their pages into a more user-friendly information architecture

  • Create a home banner and persistent logo treatment that was visually engaging

  • Integrate Google Calendar, Google maps, and Paypal using HTML snippets

  • Integrate forms into their online membership databases using SOHO Creator

They add new events frequently so this was a great solution for a site they could easily keep up-to-date.

Aesclepion had outgrown their old Flash website which they were not able to update themselves. With frequently changing programs and classes, they needed a well-organized website that they could update easily and quickly.

OLD SITE:

The Future Tech template was a nice solution, providing 2 layers of navigation along the top, along with a set of navigation global to every page for links Aesclepion wanted to draw attention to.

Stylistically, we decided to go with black and white photos in the banners as a sophisticated contrast to the vibrant orange top.

The blog page provides a convenient way to add offer monthly meditations.
